This loading ramp has been discontinued.
Overall, pretty happy the build and I think it will be a solid rack. As mentioned in another post. Getting those plastic pieces between the center pole is a challenge. I’ll try the super glue trick tomorrow. It will probably work without them, but I am sure it will be a lot less rattle and solid fit with them in there.
The Mate R rack arrived yesterday and upon my first attempt to put it together I had the front wheel baskets upside down which meant the bolts didn't line up. I emailed customer support on their website and had a quick reply from Sylvia early this morning....duh...could I please check to see if perhaps I was trying to install the front baskets upside down. Problem solved. Overall the rack is pretty easy to assemble. One part was a little challenging....attaching the middle support tubes and having to get the long bolt through the tube and both semi circle plates. I think best way is a drop or two of super glue to first attach the plates to the indents before pushing in the support tubes. Other than that the rack is super sturdy and well worth the price. Excellent and prompt customer response to rectify my operator error.
I purchased the double e-bike Mate carrier. My bikes weigh just about 100lbs each. I couldn’t wait for the ramp to become available and waited about 3 mos. The ramp attaches to both sides of my double carrier and works very well and it’s very useful and a necessity to have. Unfortunately it is also designed to attach to the SINGLE bike carrier only with a hitch and pin. And in my situation I’m forced to have to stow the ramp separately elsewhere. I wish Young Electric could come up with another carrying solution.
Young electric promised to deliver a long delayed ramp, and they did. Good company to do business with.
I bought a mate carrier back in November and the ramp was out of stock. I waited until it was supposed to be in sick, but it sold out quickly. I messaged them to ask when it's would be avaliable and they were kind enough to put me on a priority list so that I would get one of the next shipment. I arrived when they said it would and it is a quality item, very sturdy and it should have a long service life. I like that it is able attach to the rear of the rack so it won't get lost. Great company with a really good product.
