I recently added an e-bike to my fleet and needed a rack with greater weight capacity. After looking at options from the “big name” providers, I found the Young Electric Two Bike carrier for about a third of the price. Overall, it’s a good value for the money - it's sturdy and well designed. It’s not perfect - the tilt mechanism isn’t as sophisticated as the big name brands, and it’s a little bulky. But considering I’ll use it only a few times a year to move my bikes between my two homes it should be more than adequate. A few notes: 1) Yes, the assembly instructions are pretty useless. But if you have any mechanical skills you should be able to put the thing together in under an hour. 2) It came well packaged, and I noticed only minimal scuffing of the components from shipping. 3) I own a Jeep Wrangler with a tailgate mounted spare tire, and the only way to get the Young Electric rack to work was by using a hitch extender. Not the end of the world, but now the rack extends about 5” further than necessary. This is more of a Jeep design flaw, but if the hitch fitting on the rack was just 2-3” longer the extension would not be necessary. Overall, I’m pleased. We’ll see how it holds up over time.
