This rack is absolutely solid and I love it because of that. It does not move when it’s attached. I do have some suggestions for it, though. While this rack has a ramp with it and so it would be very attractive to older people such as myself. The way that it attaches, with a bolt at the hitch is very inconvenient. Would be much better if you had a spindle at the end of the rack so that you could just from the outside tighten the rack down. The other thing that I would like to see improved on is the vertical post. If they were made round, you could slide the bike mount, off to the side, and you would not have to lean the bike when loading them. Remember, this thing has a ramp and so you’re not talking about when we were 20 years old and just throwing the bikes around on it. The way that the vertical post stand, and with the attaching arm, you have to lean the bike outward. That kind of defeats the purpose of having a ramp and making it easy to load a heavy bike. All this being sad, this rack would be very good for the RV crowd. It is solid, and even though you have to lean the bikes, that is not really a dealbreaker. When it folds up, it is very close to the vehicle. This is another thing that the RV crowd would be appreciative of. For me, to lean down under an SUV and tighten this up with a wrench or a socket, this is a dealbreaker because I only put the rack on long enough to use it and then remove it for the next time. Way too much of a hassle. If you were putting the rack on one time and leaving it there, this would not be a big deal. Do not get me wrong. This is not say this is not a good rack. This is only to let you know what you will be experiencing when you get it. This is an extremely good rack for certain people. For others, not quite as good.
2-Bike Hitch E-bike Rack with Ramp, Fat Tire Electric Bike Carrier, 200 LBS Capacity, Fits 2'' Receiver
Works well, I got this rack because of the ramp mostly. My suburban has a 3" lift which makes it difficult for my 5' 1 self lifting a heavy bike onto a rack. This makes it much easier for me
I used the bike rack for the first time last weekend attached to the 2”receiver hitch on my 42’ fifth wheel. It’s very secure no shack or bounce. I would give it 5 stars if it was 6 inches higher to insure there would be no drag when going through a dip or backing up a hill. I would also like to see the ramp be longer to aid in loading and unloading.
It wobbles, had to replace fold up pin with a 5/8" x 2 1/2" bolt with nylock nut. Tighten both the new faster and the pivot bolt snuggly. The seat post strap assembly can slide off the upright if left loose w/o a bike, I installed a very small self teck screw at the end of both uprights. The ramp flops around in the storage receptacle badly, I put one wrap of gaffers tape on the ramp post. Lastly I installed "Conspicuity " tape on the ramp to improve visibility for vehicles following. Otherwise I love the rack.
