We tried out our new bike rack while traveling 2 hours to a cross country mountain bike race. We had a Radpower fat tire ebike as well as our Specialized Epic race bike. The rack held both bike securely and the rack itself did not shake very much which was great. We liked the way it secured our bike with 3 points of contact.
Some areas of improvement we found: the arms that secure the frame are at a set length and with so many different bikes and frame designs out there it would be nice if the 5-6 inch arm was adjustable in and out from the bike frame. The other improvement would be to somehow let the bike rack angle down while the bikes are loaded so that we could open the tailgate on our SUV.
The construction seems pretty good for a sub $400 bike rack. The ramp is nice as well. Overall a good to great experience!!
